An analyst said that the supply of Bitcoin in the market is not enough to meet the demand and announced a price target based on his view.
Amid Bitcoin ( BTC ) stagnation, Frank Speiser , CEO of trading platform Metafide , made a bold prediction: Bitcoin will reach $ 250,000 by the end of 2025 and continue to increase to $ 500,000 by 2027 .
Factors Driving Bitcoin Price
According to Speiser, the main factors driving Bitcoin's price are scarcity and strong interest from institutions:
“The current supply of Bitcoin is not enough to meet global demand,” he said, highlighting the surge in capital from large investment funds and the explosion of Bitcoin ETFs.
Another boost comes from news that the US may be preparing to establish a strategic Bitcoin reserve , a move that is expected to create a domino effect as other countries follow suit.
“If the US does that, the world will have to adapt,” Speiser asserted.
The Power of Institutional Investors
Unlike previous cycles led by individual investors, Speiser argues that this time Bitcoin's growth is mainly coming from large institutions .
“Current trading volumes no longer reflect old patterns, as large institutions are rapidly withdrawing Bitcoin from the market,” he said.
This explains why when Bitcoin drops in price, large institutions immediately buy in, keeping the price stable and continuing to grow.
“They know the asset will recover and appreciate,” Speiser stressed.
The Future: Opportunity or Challenge?
Speiser's forecast may be a big ray of hope for Bitcoin investors, but it also raises questions about whether the market can sustain this strong growth momentum.
With institutional investors increasingly dominating the market and Bitcoin scarcity continuing to increase, is a $500,000 price by 2027 a realistic prospect?
